Here are my amp specs....

ED Nine.5

RMS Power (Subwoofer Channel) @ 12.5v :

1 x 250w @ 4Ohm @ 0.09%THD

1 x 450w @ 2Ohm @ 0.09%THD

1 x 600w @ 1Ohm @ 0.09%THD

Looking to get only one sub, preferably a 10" or 12"

I got a 2002 Altima, the trunk is kinda big. I don't wanna fold my seat down to hear most the bass. I'm looking for nice low bass to go with my rainbow slc's up front.

With the power my amp puts out, would you recommend a sealed or ported box?

I would probably run it at 2 Ohm just so I don't put to much stress on the amp.(please let me know otherwise)

Willing to spend $200 on a sub w/warranty.

Let me know what you guys think, looking for a lot of SQ please!!

Thanks in advance!

got a nine.5 my self with a single sub setup, 12" actually. if you plan to have a good electrical, maybe maintain 12v @ full tilt, you can get the new Incriminator Audio Flatlyne, its IA super SQ sub, and the SQ people loved it. its rated @ 750rms, and the nine.5 puts out that much, maybe more with a good electrical.

you can do that in a ported box, i plan to try one myself. also the Lethal Injection is a nice SQL sub, thats the one I have and I see your in Chicago, i can demo it for you so you can hear how it sounds!!

Thre RE SE10 in the right low tuned ported box will sound amazing. They're low end monsters. My two 12"s are tuned to 29 and kill the lows down to about 18 hz or so. I highly recommend.

How does your Nine.5 handle at 1 ohm? do you have 0 gauge for your power?

That IA Flatlyne is a little over budget, I bet is sounds great though.

What kind of trunk does the RSX have? I think its different from my Altima, mine likes to keep all sounds inside unless I have the seat folded down.

What part of Chicago/Illinois you from?

**** I would love to hear how that sounds lol. Have you ever tried it in a sealed box? I guess I also wanna conserve the most space, but sound is more important.

thanks!

It handles it fine, i have 0 gauge directly from the battery to the amp, with the big 3. The nine.5 takes the 0 gauge like nothing.

I have a hatchback, but in your case you can do sub/port rear, and still get amazing sound. Or port the deck and have the port coming through there, many options. I am near Chinatown in the City.
