Couldnt say to be honest.

I ran the single kappa sealed. I currently use two old IDQs ported. So it isnt really fare to judge due to different # of subs in different enclosures I think.

I like my IDQ's better in the sense that the bass is much more forceful from having two ported. I think they are both about equal in the SQ department.

They are both great subs. And if I could have two kappas ported. I almost think I would take those over the IDQs. But then I would also need a new amp. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Kappa Perfect VQ/DVQ

Dont overlook infinity because they're "mainstream". Their subs are nice.

The non VQ/DVQ Perfects are also fairly good SQ subs.

But the VQ/DVQ series is sweet!

Ok im looking into putting a few SQ subs in my new ride. Im over the extremely loud bass, so just looking for good harmonic subs.
Any suggestions? Need something that would make me nut my pants instantly.

DLS Iridium/Nobelium and Rainbow Vanadiums are very nice subs.

The Morel Ultimo and JBL GTI series are often considered as well.

Out of all, the DynAudio Esotar 1200 is still the best car audio sub I've layed my ears on.

I've heard/owned all of these, including Image Dynamics IDMAX, IDQ subs, JLs W7 and W6v2's, and Critical Mass UL12, but wouldn't recommend them over the others.

great sound quality. Well i guess i do want it loud, because its going to be off a saz-3000d. Something that will sound great with ~1500W/per.
I had a '05 xxx a while ago and was pretty satisfied with it. Ive never heard of the new xxx's, and dont know which model sounds better.

If anything the infinity's require a very small space for sealed.

100%. Considered by many SQ guys as the best SQ sub ever made. They are limited on the power they can take, so probably not your ideal sub. My buddy has two 12's NIB sitting in his closet that I keep thinking of buying, But I don't think I could come to use them. If something ever happened to them, there is no way to fix them, and it would be tough to find replacements for them.

Best I've owned/heard: ID12v3 with 1.25cu ft sealed per sub. Liked it better than my JLW6v2 in 1.5cu ft sealed & 3.5 cu ported @32hz. However, I would say the W6 is very close to the ID12v3 as far as SQ goes.
