Hi , does anyone know of a good SQ sub that is rated at only 200w RMS, cause I will be using the 5th channel of my amp to power it, and want to keep it that way.

Also it will be in a sealed box, and it would be better if it can handle well in a small enclosure, abot 1 cu ft or less, cause I dont want it to use nuch space.

planning to 12" or maybe a 10" if it can play low frequencies as well as a 12", I was thinking of a JLw3, alpine type R, or infinitty perfect, but still dont want to spend more than 120 bucks

please help, cause this hasbeen the hardest decition building my system

Also, any one knows if I can disconect the sub channel in a 5 channel amp, so I can take the sub out whne I need touse the whole space in my trunk??

Or I just should unplug the rca wires in the sub input of the amp.

thanks

He bro, hows it goin?

I would say that an infinity perfect 10" would sound not too bad with 200 Watts RMS.....

and yes, you can disconnect your5thchannel.

I also say a W3 would be a good choice for you. I wouldn't disconnect the sub from the amp and run it like that very long if you do at all. It'll end up burning out your sub channel with no speaker connected.

ok, then a simple w3, which size? 10" or 12", how big would be the box (sealed), I want to get the best SQ possible, I think I will be running it with a Hifonics zeus 5 channel, is that a good amp? or maybe a kenwood 959 (top of the line), the specifications says that the hifonics has a little bit more power, which one you think is better for SQ?

3/4 inch MDF enclosure ok?

if you wanted between those 2 amps i'd say go with the hifonics. if you got the cash for it though why not get the jl 500/5??? that's a great amp and will run a W3 pretty darn well. i really don't like jl much b/c of the price, i do have to say after reading an article in car audio magazine and looking at there setup and assembly line now looking at there sight i might have to like them a lil.

Other amps worth looking into are

RF power 600.5

Kicker 700.5

As for the w3 if you are just getting one and you have the space get a 12" and put it in a box somewhere around .75-1.0 cuft.
