Thanks for the info, I found an Arc12 v3. Is that the one you are referring to or is that same as the IDQ12v3?
Those cost more than 3 IDQ12. Very big increase in budget which I cannot do unfortunately.
I haven't got the comps yet. The reviews are very good. Will get them by the second week of Nov. For the sub, I want sealed just because I don't think i can build a ported box. Is there a Passive radiator available for the IDQ12?
Ported boxes may seem tough, but once you start doing it, it's really not hard at all. Especially if you get one designed from one of the designers here (one is @pro\-rabbit), they can design something very basic based on your woodworking skills. All I am saying is don't let fabrication get in the way of your sound goals. You can do it.
Any passive radiator will work. You just need to know what size to get and how to tune them. You tune them by adding weight to their moving mass. TC Sounds has a nice one, the model is VMP. Parts Express carries them. I think PSI makes them too, and there's a few more out there. I haven't seen a PSI one, but the TC looks the best IMO, though is a bit more expensive.
Lookin forward to a review on those comps when you get them!
