best SQ sub for 100-140 dollars

I apperciate the advice.
Yes. the dayton HO drivers you mentioned do look appealing. However, I should have mentioned before, I need DVC 4 drivers to be able to maximize my amp output. at 4ohm i will only be able to get 300w which i believe is not a very good match for the dayton HO drivers that you mentioned which ask for 700w @4ohm.
Don't get wrapped up in matching power ratings and amp power. Those subs don't "NEED" 700rms. They can handle that power but that's a far cry different than needing it.

I apperciate all the tips.

considering my price range it looks like i will go with wither the MBQuart RWE-304 or the ID ID12D4 V3.

WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE between the two??????

also still have not heard any opinions of the new mb quart rsh-302 shallow with the inverted motor. Maybe ill start a new thread asking just about this if no one has any experience.

Man I'd go ID with that choice.

Just curious, why MUST they be 12s and dual 4s?
very fair question!!

they need to be 12 because that is simply what i want and how i have designed and budgeted space and tuning.

they need to be dual 4 because i am using one amp for each driver. each amp is only stable to 2 ohms. 300w at 4ohm and 420 at 2ohms. cant put d2 load on the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Never heard any of the mb quart subs; however I do currently have an image dynamics id10v3 installed in my truck and it sounds great. Box is .7 cubic feet sealed with 300 watts with good sound quality.

how are the lows in your sealed box? nice and round or do they get a little wet on the bottom? I know many swear by the idq but as has been mentioned, that is out of my price range.

jmanpc told me that his 15" mbquard subs sounded fantastic and i would assume the same would be true for the 12s.

hmmmmmmm.... thinking thinking...

The lows are pretty good but I believe they could be better with a slightly larger sealed box or maybe a ported box. My box is on the smaller size of the recommended enclosures so that hurt it a little bit. I barely had enough room for the .7 cubic feet.

there is a guy on here that had the 12s and he loved them. hard to beat the mb's for the money i think. polk momo's arent bad either. maybe the re sr? havent heard them for myself though. i know you can get the re se 10" new for about 149 each.
