That's what I was thinking. I'm starting to think that a lot of these people haven't heard a really well recorded CD played on a very well setup system. It's more of an experience. To hear a full soundstage of instruments with very sharp images all playing very dynamic music, it really is amazing.

i can't beleive that no body knows who KRS1 is or Lil John is. Look for anything from these guys, they all have good bass with quality and the lyrics are ok too. this **** makes my car bump hard, i'm from a small town and everyone knows when i come to town.

KRS1

Lil John

Outkast

a few Nelly songs

some rock songs

almost all techno ****

or just go to your local computer dealer and buy a song maker where you can make your own bass songs or take your favorite song and make it deeper, hit harder, and sound better.

man if you want an SQ cd go download some jazz or some orchestra music

your speakers all will be reproducing the sound of live instruments

if that isn't an SQ test i don't know what is

oh yeah dont forget disturbed

or for harder one u can get slip knot and mudvayne lol

i like them too but i dont know if they r what u r lookin for

for bass, i recommend bass mekanik

for SQ, i decided to burn myself a jazz CD. so i went on kazaa and found some jazz songs. and if you want the ultimate IMO SQ song, its buddy rich's and maynard ferguson's rendition of duke ellingtons "caravan". if you **** with your eq enough and levels and crossovers you can get awesome sound quality

i agree with everyone that said Linkin Park. they have prolly the best mixture of lows, mids, and highs. they spent a ****ing long time in the studio making sure each song was PERFECT. there is a certain song on Meteroa that has parts that can only be heard while wearing headphones or from tweeters. thats pretty kick ass if you ask me.

I disagree. You will get a much better recording from buying a CD. The music you download is compressed, which means information is taken out to make the file smaller. That is the opposite of SQ.

But then with all the bass CD's, rap music, and mainstream being suggested for "SQ", your suggestion is probably a little better.

i'm sorry to butt in but um IT doesn't really matter..

When you record a song you can record it as an mp3. or wav or whateva, mp3's are compressed but it's not that big of a diffrence. I could have a wave file and a mp3 file play them both and you wouldn't be able to tell the diffrence... Cd's are mostly recorded as wav files, but in the case of being compressed you could decompress a wav file even more, but it wouldn't work on your cd player nor could it be burnt to a cd, ok it could be burnt but a normal cd player wouldn't be able to read it...

Doobie Brothers - Listen to the Music

Stepehn, I disagree with your statement about MP3's, SOMETIMES. true, some MP3's are poorly done, and you do lose quality, particularly the upper and lower end of the frequency range. But some are done well, and no one can tell a difference... 192 kbps and up I know I can't personally tell a difference... whether I'm listening on 80 dollar headphones, or 400 dollar headphones... or a car stereo, or a home stereo... get a decent recording, and you will enver miss a note.

mp3s lose quality, CDS have better quality, dat's y it's better to buy a cd period, well unless u have a live orchestra play thru ur car speakers, but that' another story
