Best speakers for HU power

What would you guys think would be best to run off of Head Unit power. A co-worker needs to replace his deck and front speakers because they arnt working, dont know why, its all stock. I can find a Head Unit for him no problem, but I dont know what would be good to run off of the Head Unit. I was thinking Alpine Type S. Any other opinions. It is a 6.75" opening, so size doesnt matter. Cheap is good too!
