Best single subsetup for SPL

THe boxes aren't "standard". Watch the vids on the site, they are a different design than what you normally see in a ported box, and they work a hell of alot better than the "typical" ported box. SQ AND SPL are both improved by design.
Excuse me for not needing some oddball alignment to work well.

Would it sound better to you if it were the magic "TCB" box with 40 feet of port that gets exponentially bigger then halves in size until it comes out at the exact square of the area of the sub? Would you then be satisfied that its just flat out louder and cleaner than nearly any other box out there, period?

The future = meter at the headrest.... IMO nothing else really matters.

And in that event, you won't see many 50hz+ notes doing great numbers.

and if u feel it's worth it, great. that's all that counts...

and if u would have taken the time to read my posts, i never bit(hed about his prices..i was questioning them. i also defended them, based upon what kind of box he was building.

I never directed any thing towards you about the price issue, I also noticed a few others comenting about his box's and prices. u made a blanket statement, one which was directed at everyone. the problem was, noone actuall bit(hed about his prices, until right after ur initial post about it.

so do u think 1 L7 in a 2-4 foot enclosure would be louder than 2 r's in a 4 ft enclosre? how do they comparem i here the L7 would have alot worse SQ, how do they sound?

it depends on vehicle, but if you can fit a pair of R's they will eat up the L7.

i gotta agree as well.....two against one. the L7's are quite capable subs, but if the type r's are just half of what spkrman has been saying, then the L7 won't really have a chance.

two L7's against two type r's? more then likely, best install wins....

Well, I must admit......the Type-R's in Spkrman's setup do indeed get loud.....very loud. Watched him pull a 150db even on the dash on a TL db drag style last night......and he wasn't even sure that was as loud as it got (possibly didn't have the note dialed in, etc).

You could probably get a single L7 to get as loud as a pair of type-R's in the right box......but the L7's would sound like total poop in that box.
