Best set up for sql give input...

I was looking into getting some new subs and my choices are:

IMAGE DYNAMICS IDMAX 10"

IMAGE DYBAMICS UDMAX 12"

JL AUDIO W7 10"

JL AUDIO w7. 12"

JL AUDIO W6 10"

JL AUDIO W6 12"

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Looking for SQ but really want some good output levels.

newer w6? If it was the og w6, I would say for pure sq that would be my choice. If its newer w6, i would do the image dynamics

Flatlynes are a nice driver. They are truly a high output sq sub

I'm only going to be pushing 600 rms cause I'm going to run them at 4 ohms until I upgrade my alternator...

What is the problem with the W7's are they not geared towards SQ?

In my opinion, w7's are not an "sq" driver...they dont sound bad by any means. I just think JL tried to make a sub geared toward more output, and along the way they lost the actual sq feel of the w6 line...that said, i think w7's sound at least respectable and are capable of pretty good output. Local guy was doing 146 on 2 w7 13.5s, so thats not too shabby a # at all

THANK KR15 I agree with you that the old school jlW's were sq heaven! So I think I'm left with the Image ID Max's... In the Image line what is your guys opinions between the ID MAX 10 and 12" is the 10 much tighter and musical???

what about one of the new 15" LMS drivers from TC sounds?

TC Sounds LMS-R 15" DVC Subwoofer 293-662

obviously it will be excellent for SQ, and should still provide a significant amount of output in the right box.
