Craigslist is your friend...LOL! The going price for subs in a box with amp included goes from a bit under $100 to $250 for those looking for bargains, plus you can buy the subs w/boxes and the amps separately. You can pay more but patience in fishing the list will yield something besides Sony Xplodes and Bosses.

Metro areas have the best deals. Just hit up the Baltimore and Washington DC lists to see what's up.

good bump for the buck, not gonna beat any records but def will give you some thump

Go with a kicker CVR 12 (can get one for like 70ish shipped off ebay)

Build a ported box yourself if you think you are up to it. (About 30 bucks)

Find a kicker 750.1 amp (Around $150)

4 gauge wiring kit (probably like 40 bucks)

Or if you want to save up a little more get 2 CVRs

Again, this is probably you best bet. If you want loud, you wont get louder than that for $300 bucks. You just have to make your own box then, which I highly recommend over that pre-fab garbage. It's actually fun to build your own, it gives you a sense of accomplishment.
