Streetwires have served me well. I just went for something that would go all the way to the back that did not feel like I could pull the shielding off of.

I use Stinger Bullet series. The only reason that I went that expensive (haven't paid more than $26 per cable for the 10 or so sets that I have around) is that I like the way that they look.

No one has yet to definitively prove the ability to hear a difference in cables and the car by nature of the DC environment is not very noisy compared to the AC power system in the home and all the switching devices usually in close proximity to the home stereo. Avoid the ECU, fuel pump, AC blower motor and the ABS module and induced noise isn't an issue.
