about 15 years ago Mark Fukuda had yellow chevy S-10 blazer with the big chrome Fosgate Power 1000's. It was was the amp that led the revolution

Lets be real here. there is a ton of talk about all the old school stuff. IMO, the PPI, Rockford, Lanzar, Soundstream, Zapco, Linear Power, earthquake, Planet Audio, Nakamichi, Orion, Coustic RS, Xtant, US Amps, ...................all kicked ***! Back in the day there was nothing to this day that compares to them, other than Zapco. Zapco has been building a fine product forever and I feel thay wont move from that stand point EVER. Now, from a pricepoint I dont think there is a better amp out there than the Sundown gear. For ultimate SQ gear the Zapco can't be beat, keep in mind I said "be beat", are there equals? Of course, better...no. and how am i wrong if i call a ppi amp that is white with the artwork on top a art series amp.....? they all have artwork on the tops..(except the black ones.)..

Well, hell, if having art on it makes it and Art Series...the white 2350DM (Dual Mono) must be an Art Series but not the black one even though they are the same amp...and the black Art Series amps (which say "Art Series" on the front while the AM series clearly said "MOSFET series") must not be Art Series...call them whatever you want. PPI (you know the company that MADE them) made a pretty clear distinction going so far as to naming one of the "Art Seires." I know Ampguts has the specs for the ProMos-450 but do you have an idea of the actual output?

i have a ppi art a600 that iam selling here in fl, excellent amp and i hate to get rid of it. i bought it new in 1993 or 94 and it hasnt flinched once.

i sold a fosgate power 1100a2 that i beat the crap out of but it kept going

i replaced the a600 with a mtx 6500d and for the size it is one powerful amp.

the fosgate got replaced by (yep) an mtx 81000d and its beast for its size.

the 81000d i have had now for about 3 or 4 years and have never had any issues at all

I personally liked the old school Orion HCCA & XTR, Lanzar OptiDrive, RF Punch & Power, and the Kicker ZR amps.

Orion made some awesome amps. I always think of Revrider's 2100. I wish I had that beast.

I couldn't agree more! There were so many brands back in the day that just kicked tail! Orion, PG, RF, Zapco, Esoteric Audio, MMATS, PPI, Zapco, US Amps. The list goes on and on.
