Best prepaid cell phone?

I've got a boostmobile. Its alright. I get a bit more dropped calls/low signal than other cell phone providers but it hasnt been a real issue yet. I think their rates are 20cent a min during peak hours and off peak hours are 10cent a min. And of course you can use the unlimited chirp for a dollar/day

Right on that, the biggest plus of Boost Mobile is you can use most Phones As Modems with no charge, not blazing fast speeds, but it works. If you're wanting to use text messaging, throw out Nextel/Boost, sometimes they get delivered within seconds, then other times it could be hours or even days. Coverage-wise, I get 4 bars at my grandparent's house that is literally in the middle of nowhere.

The previously mentioned Virgin Mobile is owned by Sprint, and their coverage was pretty good as well, at least in KY it was. Check out http://howardforums.com/ and you may be able to get feedback from someone in your locality.

I went to my local Wal Mart but guess what? They dont carry Simple Plan or Alltel phones. Now Im at the start again I dont know what to buy. I was looking at Verizon Wireless prepaid phones but they charge you 99 cents a day for the service even if I dont use it. Is this correct? The phones I have owned before are boost and virgin mobile.

Any more recomendations?
