Best Places To Buy Car Audio Online?

Very true and good point. That is a lot of the reason why I dont like to buy online. Well minus my Fi sub, which has yet to come in and has been a week now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Where do you get your stuff from if not online? Because any place around where I live jack the prices up sky high unless your good friends with store owner..

Its not "jacking the prices up", its called Retail purchasing. Do you think that building is free? The electric, phone, insurance, water, etc come with no charge? Perhaps the employees work for no compensation?

Sorry, retail purchasing.. I guess It's hard for me to pay retail price for an item when I get the same thing from an online vendor with a good rep..

hrmm i thought that i read somewhere that the company has to honor the warranty no matter where it was bought as long as you have a reciept (to prove it wasn't stolen). but i don't remember where i saw that, so who knows if it's true.

to answer the question... http://www.cardomain.com/shop and do the price matching with other sites such as sonicelectonix.com or woofersetc.com. they are an authorized dealer of their products.

That would be a negative.

shoot. i have never bought from an unauthorized dealer on ebay. u can tell the authorized ones becuase they are typically about 5 to 20 bux more expensive on the item after u include shipping. again. i have never ever been turned down on a warranty issue from ebay and i have had a lot of stuff have issues. go grab a speaker etc ... look at the warranty. point out a line that voids the warranty when purchased from a non authorized dealer. or in my case an authorized dealer on ebay. but if u want to spend $599 on a set of alp type x components u go right ahead ... i just bought mine for $200 shipping included.

A good rep such as maybe TheZeb.com?
Never heard of them.. i'll usually get my stuff from millionbuy.com, sonicelectronix.com, or woofersetc.com.

But I guess if you have the $ and are all about helping out your home town audio shop, go for it! If I had the extra $ I would pay for an item I could take home right away.. But most of us aren't sittin on stacks..

TheZeb was a highly regarded etailer that was around for many years with tons of excellent feedback, then literally one day...*poof* gone.

I dont support my local retailer, I Am my local retailer and believe me, I am not sittin on stacks. I alo dont charge my customers full retail. Neither on here or in person. But my kids have to eat too.

bad installer ... i dont do installation, i have people do that for me. i buy stuff for other people tho and let them do their thing. we keep in touch, i know when they have issues. regardless, the 400 bux i save on one single set of components, is more than repair costs in any situation. and nothing u say is sufficient. when the difference in price is over 100% ... u r instantaneously inccorect!

just like to put my 2 cents in here... i am an ebay seller for car audio and the difference between such places like crutchfield and ebay is basically the warranty. any online sales void the manufacturer warranty which is why you can get the stuff for half the retail price. crutchfield will charge more because they are one of the few authorized online dealers. if your willing to take a chance without a warranty then ebay is the best way to go, especially if you plan on abusing the items since that just voids the warranty. ebay prices are pretty much wholesale prices that dealers like me get them from distributors. we only make a few dollars profit for each item sold when we buy bulk. go ahead and ask any ebay seller if you can see a picture of the serial number on items and they wont because they are scratched off and defaced, only reason being is because the manufacturer won't warrant the item. another thing with ebay sellers is they also like to cheat you to make money. anything that they sell and they offer you a 90 day warranty means its refurbished and just stating its brand new because you really can't tell. they also like to sell open box items and stating brand new because they make money that way. if your looking to get anything from ebay spend a few extra dollars and buy from someone who will honor a 1 year warranty through them.

Just want to make sure I read this right.

Local shops is the way to go if your shop is reasonable/affordable. You always get the guys that own shops downing online stores, ebay, and the people that buy from them, but what would the same people recommend for people in my situation. There are 4 shops in my city 1 stright ghetto(sh* t might even be stolen), 2 so called high-end shops where prices are 2-3 x MSRP ( not e-bay but retail)and they will not move from that price, and then best buy (selection sucks).
