Full connection speed constantly....?
I'm usually using a private tracker and rarely hit a full speed on my connection. Where do you get your torrents from?
do you have access to the private trackers? that could be your problem
i know utorrent and probably some other programs now have ways to track a torrent without access to the actual tracker, but this eats up bandwidth and doesn't get very good speeds
i just use publicly tracked torrents from torrentspy, piratebay, or torrentreactor
i usually don't get full speed capacity with one file, i'll just let 3 or 4 torrents download at once, tho, and the collective speed rarely drops below 500kB/s, and that was living in the boonies of kent last year, and still good speeds living in the city
my cable package is only 5mb/s down, and 256kb/s up for reference, i don't know what your speeds are/should be
just for grins, set your computer to use a static ip adress, and set this adress up to be a demilitarized zone on your router (every port is forwarded directly) and see if this helps. if this helps your speed, then you have the port triggering setup wrong
there's also problems with torrents using windows xp service pack 2, since it only allows i believe 8 half-open connections at any one time (establishing connections, to expedite the process of switching sources if someone boots you) and the lack of half-opens causes a lot of down time searching for new hosts
