I think its partly his camera a lot of cameras will make it sound distorted. His camera picks up bass really well too I'm subscribed to him on YouTube.

Yeah they are Pa mids, and videos are a fairly useless representation of how something will really sound anyway.

Right? It makes sense to buy equipment because it sounds loud/clean recorded by an Android phone and played through computer speakers.
