never seen the alpine.. or played with it... but the cool thing is u can buy the jensen at walmart use it for 2 years and then take it back lol

at one time i was going to get the jensen, but the controls and everythign just feel cheap

Actually the Alpine is a stand alone monitor like the older CVA-1004, CVA-1005, etc... It doesn't play CD's, DVD's, anything. You woruld need another source for the music/movies. Just FYI why it is so cheap.
