Best headunit under 300

I just made a similar thread a few days ago but this one is more specific. Anyways, I have the 4900ib. I dont really love it.. its ok. The ipod interface is OK, not good or great. Decent. Its got the decent 4v pre outs, barely any customizing features when it comes to music. Its just a decent head unit. I have 300 dollars to spend on one, The alpine 9887 is that much, But so is a nice pioneer. I dont know which to choose.. Do all headunits have the same output wire box? The thing that clips into the headunit? Let me know peepz

yes all headunits have the same wires coming out of the back so if you already have the car harness you can just take the old hu out and rewire at no additional cost. And id have to say the 9887 seems like a great hu but i have no first hand exp with it. However i do have a Pioneer 880 and live in fort lauderdale if you wanted to come check it out in person before ordering. (i didnt have that luxury but I love my 880 now so no problem there)

and of course the eclipse units are pretty badass too cd7000 and cd5000 or the 7100 but im not a fan of em personally. But def worth looking into.

I live in new york bro sorry i wrote miami because it looks fresher.. didn't realize how much wheeling and dealing goes on here. Doesn't the 880 only have 3.5 volt pre outs? is that bad?

wellll ookkkkk..... the irony in this is that everyone here seems to be from new york and doesnt shut up about how much better it is there. but back on subject i just saw an oppertunity to help a fellow out and it was help i wish i could have gotten before i ordered but wasnt able to. you can search on here and a while ago someone made a video of the 880 and going through the menus if that helps any. If you cant find it I might dig it up for you.
