best head unit for around $500

I am looking for a cd player for around $500 can go over abit if it is a good one, i would like it to have a mp3 player and maybe a screensaver feature or something like the one on that new sony that is $999 but you can find it for somethign in the 500s but sony isnt so good these days so i am trying to stay away from that cd player even though it looks cool

it needs to power 2 6x9s in the back and 2 61/2" 3 way speakers in the front which the cd player i have now has trouble powering the 4 speakers adiquitly i was either considering an amp to power the speakers or if i could find a head unit that had enough power would be even better

one thing i havent decided yet is whether to get an amp for the 4 speakers or if a head unit could have enough power for them

thanks for the help but that sony still looks good not the sq or anything but the fact that it can play color animations is still cool

i like the pioneer, eclipse, and alpines but i dont know which to get because i like the eclipse with the sq but i like the screensaver features of the pioneer and the alpines i like the mp3 and wma and sq playback

is there any head unit that has all these things sq, mp3, screensaver features?

Either deck, the Alpine or the 940 will please you greatly. (although my personal pick would be the 940 or a Kenwood Excelon 969)..
