i understand head room but if it only takes 2000, than 1500 is a **** lot of head room how bout one of those 3000 watt fosgates?

I would look at a kicker zx2500.1, should be just right, some head room.

What are the coils config on the xxx you're getting?

i know it has to take more than 2000 cause the ratings are the same on the 12, but how much? does no one have one?

actually take it back looks like the motor is the same as the 12

Your box affects how much power the sub can take, but I take back the zx, cuz i realized the 1 or 4 ohm loads.

A memphis 2000D would work & take your 1 ohm load fine.

& i forget where you actually mentioned an amp? You just stated an rms rating, the comment was directed towards any one who was being a dick, simple as that.

well my god can i not get a second opinion or should i just go ahead and take a chance on paying double what i need to for an amp, or better yet just hook it up and fry a 2000 dollar sub?

i think you should get a one of each a 13w7 12w7 10w7 and then an 8w7 that would compliment you 4 10's and 1 13 lol

but seriously if ur looking for a amp around 2000 get a jbl bpx2200 it does everything that ur asking for, but it sounds more like you wanna just hook up 2 1000/1s

and you dont think a t30001bd will put out 1500 extra watts? the t3001 will do around 3400 watts on average.. but besides that- you have to figure in impedance rise....
