Ok i dont want a set of component speakers because i dont want to have to deal with the imageing, and all the other stuff that goes with it. Plus i have a ranger and its hard to find a spot to put the things. So i want to know whats a top notch set of coaxials that will sound just as good as a component set. I'm not sayin i want them to sound like a 2k set of comps, i just want them to sound pretty good like a 150-300 dollar pair of comps. They will be amped by a orion that puts out the rms of the speaks. So i wanna spend anywhere from 150-250 at most.

Pioneer REV are some very good co-axials....probably some of the best sounding co-axials.

Though, if you want, you could go for a component set with co-axially mounted tweeters such as the Boston Acoustic's Pro series, Image Dynamics Chameleon's and Memphis Syncs offer. Quality of components with the convenience of co-axials.

well i was looking at the revs, and the only reviews i found were at sounddomain, they seemed to not like em but usually they dunno whats going on. The daimonds would work but the tweeter holder thing that attached to the speaker wouldnt look lik ei twould fit in the stock locatin in my truck. I was maybe thinking about the bostsons they posted or the daimond audio there are the daimonds i was talking about

ay opinions about thesE?

as i stated you asked about coax's i'd go focal 165cv

or just get some components that have the flex option where u can out the tweeter to the mid such as image dynamics (wow did i just say ID - WOW)

I'll be running the 6.5" version of those in the coming months //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ID Chameleons were my first choice, but 3.25" mounting depth is tough in stock locations.

BA Pro60's would be good if you have the amplifier power for them...they're hungry little beasts.
