Best components under $150?

Those MB Quarts look very promising, plus they are even cheaper than the Type Rs and they'll probably sound better too. If those give you trouble or blow, just roll with the Type Xs next.

well SQ is all subjective, of course i love my focals, but they are the lowest line focal components you can buy i will tell you the same thing anyone else would and that is to go listen to speakers, find out what you like and go with that.. although hearing alpine and SQ in the same sentence is kind of funny

You are so right! It is subjective 100% I think focals are over rated.. for the same price of their lowest set I got the JBL GTI series (Highest model of JBL) for the same price near about and they stomp all the focals I have ever heard..

But that's my subjective opinion..

These are the best for $150 or less hands down!!!!!!!! You will get more than you paid for with these.

I've had the RSD's. Those Quarts and Type R won't sound better IMO. I've had the R's also.

look into the Crystal SSCS6 component system. They are very rare though since the company went down under like 2 years ago. However they are the best sounding components you could buy for the price. Go search them up on this site; many rave reviews about them. Good thing is I got my Crystal component system for sale! Check it out! Very low price!
