Best components for super low budget ($50-$70)??

Just bought a '95 BMW and all the speakers are blown.

Want to put a budget component set that will sound decent. Going to power them w/about 65 watts each via MTX 4 ch amp.

What components do you guys recommend? I've been reading for a few hours and everything recommended is around $150+. Need something less expensive.

Stock is 5.25" mids & go in the kick panel, and the tweets will go in the stock location on the door panel.

I'm ok w/trimming to fit a 6.5". Want something bassy and ok highs, as I'm not doing a sub.

Been looking at these:

Or 5.25:

From the reviews, the 5.25 MA audio sound to have the best bass even though they are smaller. Any other sets you guys like? Thanks.

RSD's are great if you can find them, otherwise Pierce audio Products EMP 6.5 set is pretty good. I've got some in one of my cars and for the price they're pretty good. Here's a link

I woudlnt go with the PG rsd's. I think they were super harsh. Everyone on this forum seems to love them for whatever reason. I would rather run with the alpine type s components. I enjoyed that sound much better, and I have bought 2 pairs for under 70$ slightly used. I think one was like 56 and the second was 63

Phoenix Gold RSD65CS 6.5" 120W Component Speaker System ??? How is the bass on these?
What do you guys think of the other sets I posted?

$80 is about the absolute most I want to spend. Already had to spend on 6x9 adapters, MTX amp, and wiring, etc....

Thanks for the replies.

Don't buy from DCA. I've only read bad things about them. The RSD65cs's are great for the money - if you had acted sooner, you could've gotten them for only $30 bucks off of Amazon. But sadly, that special is over. Still a good set of components, though. Pick them up, you really can't go wrong.

How does the bing cashback work? Do you really have to wait 60 days to get your rebate?

Yeah, you do. It's to prevent people from buying something, getting cash back, then returning the item right away. Trust me though, it works. I just cashed in $200 a few days ago right into my paypal account after buying things from stores like Dell, Sears, eBay, and Eastbay (shoes). If you look on forums like Slickdeals.net, you will find many sites have Bing Cashback (aka BCB) specials with cashback rates that are 20% - 30%. Otherwise, you can just look up stores at the BCB website and you'll be able to see current cashback rates.

I bought the RSD6CS today on ebay for $34.99. Plus $16 s/h.

Used bing cashback too.

Gona use a MTX TA3404 in 3 way. Run 50 watts to each set in front and 200x1 to a pair of Tang Band 6x9 subs in back.

Can't wait.

If you are looking for comps with nice midbass then you should be happy with the rsd's. People really liked them specifically for the woofer. I cannot really remember anyone raving about the tweets.
