Best (Cheapest) Alts?

Well You can tell just by looking at the winding that it is twice a factory and havent had any problems yet so why not A-1???
an alternator deserves a "A-1" for running like its suppose to for a week?

stator windings are all good, but what about the regular, diode trio, rectifier, etc etc. lots more to an alt than just the stator.

Its not the dominator version that goes for $185 240a.I bet most that have had problems got this one which is just a factory alt ran in overdrive which causes failure.but if you spend the money then you get better quaility.

I would just suggest to do the Big 3, and put in an extra battery. I'm running a MD3D on stock electrical and a yellow top in the trunk. I never drop below 13v...at moderate volume w/ ac on...and thats at my rear battery.

BTW...nice h/u

Headunit = JVC KD-G321 now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif And I love this headunit! Tells me what stations I am listening to on the radio, not just the frequencies, but the actual station name like 'Z-Rock Springfield's ONLY Station For Rock.' Only thing I don't like about it so far, is that my speakers seem to distort, at lower volumes than most headunits. I need to give them some amped power, and better crossovers on them.

Voltage Drops = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv6rXkN07cU This is with the head lights off, and AC off.

Grab the Iraggi and some Knu 0/1 for the Big 3
I have 2/0 for the batt and engine ground, I have 4 gauge on the way for my alt to batt. I am getting a spool of 1/0 for extremely cheap when my buddy gets back in mid October.

search around the forum and you will quickly see

A. why i dont like him or his business

and

B. that there are tons of problems with iraggi alts and the customer service and quality are both poop....

once again, you have had your alt a matter of a week now and claim it to be the holey grail.... for your sake i hope its as good as you think it is and it lasts forever... Truth of the matter is that there are big problems with the guy and his company on many many sites... Also your 157% wrong about anyone with problems buying re wound stockers and the low end alts. Most people i see buy the higher end alts. I mean by all means you can continue to be a walking talking advertisment for the guy but when your alt craps out on you tomorrow and your left high and dry without a response or any action taken and then still screwed over you may come to a new conclusion. Unless your doing damage control for the company...

I have seen just as many things with others as with iraggi.but how many other companys can you call and speak directly with the guy who is building your alt?Granted you can't always get hi on the phone but if he was always on the phone talking he wouldnt have any time for building right? As for the lower end models there isnt anything wrong with them you just get what you pay for!Like you said MOST people buy the higher end models got to be a reason for that.No damage control just impressed with the product, sorry you got a bad deal.Still didnt say what model you had though.

all the info is already available on this forum... easy to search and see... I have not even seen close to the amount of people have a problem with any of the other big names... Also i dont know how you got ahold of dom cause i called for a month str8 almost every day once and never got the guy.... I'm not gonna turn this thread into my exact experiance with them cause there is already a thread on that....
