Best, cheap amp for two type r 12's

What would you recommend for these subs? They are the 4ohm version so I would wire them down to 1ohm. How much would you push them with on a daily basis. I'm thinking a power acoustik a3000db.

Sundown Audio SAZ-1500d. Relatively cheap, you can pick a refurbished or used one up for $350.

im sellin a quantum 4000 but thats the box spec, it does about 1800 watts and should push them good

Ok nevermind on the a3000db. It looks like they only put out ~12000watts for about $300. That's no good

Hey I've got 2 type r 12's and I'm powering then with a Hifonics 1606D which i think is pushing them great. Most people said it's not that great of a amp etc etc but ill be pushing the subs as loud as my ears can handle for a good 30 min and when i go to check the amp its their barely warm to the touch. Pretty sure you can get it for 250, the new version is the 1608D i think.

Haha I just sold that exact amp. It was a good amp. I put it into protect mode one day while switching out subs, so I had it repaired and sold it. I think I might go with the crunch brand this time if I went with Hifonics again. Similar amps but I think they look cleaner.

If you don't mind rocking a Hifonics amp, head over to ebay and look into the Hifonics BRUTUS BXi1208D model. Should be able to put out what the subs can handle, and it gets down to 1 ohm. They come pretty cheap, $215-225.

You could also look into US amps. They are usually stable at 1 ohm, and don't cost much.

On a little more of an expensive side, you could check out an Elemental Designs NINe.1

man I just had the link. I can't find it now, but someone on another board was saying they only got 1128 watts out of the a3000db. It could have been a defective amp though. Anyone else hear about this?
