No I wouldn't do that. The only reason I'm really doing it is because it's best buy and if someone buys the one I return and it's broken they can just return it and say it's broken and nobody will get hurt.

if its not even open they usually just scan the box and put it on the counter behind them. when i took back my brothers speakers because they were blown, they did not even open the box to see what was in there. they just took the box scanned it and gave me the new one under warranty.

It doesn't matter, you bought another one didn't you...? Apparently its not a huge deal, and just because your $200 is relatively small to best buy, doesn't mean its nothing. How do you know there aren't thousands more people doing things like this? Now all of a sudden Best buy is losing hundreds of thousands of dollars to people who think "this isn't hurting anyone its no big deal". I'm not saying I personally would be concerned about the damage it does to them, I'm just saying, you shouldn't go around thinking you can damage something without someone losing because of it.

I'm not blaming Best Buy for anything. I never said it was their fault. Yes I dropped it and it's my fault. I just can't afford an almost $200 loss. I never said it's right I just asked if it could be done. I know it's not the morally correct thing to do but I don't understand why you are pointing your fingers at me as if you are some perfect saint who has never done anything wrong.
