best buy doesn't want to hire me?!

so you wouldn't hire anyone who spoke their mind?
Not your mind, no.

The correct answer to the capacitor question would have been exactly what he was looking for - in parallel with the charging system. Leave your own personal opinions out of it, you showed him that you're going to cost him sales. I'd not hire you on that basis alone.

"I don't believe in capacitors" would get you laughed at by most anyone in electronics...

hey guys i made a thread a couple weeks ago about a job interview i had with best buy concerning the mobile installer position. well its been two weeks now and they haven't called me back.. does that mean i'm not getting the job? when i got interviewed, they were having a job fair since theyre opening a Best buy up out somewhere... i thought i was going to get the job (judging by the way the main interviewer guy was talking to me). the head guy of the install bay even asked me some "pop quiz" questions and i nailed them on the spot. except when he asked, "how would u install a capacitator.." i straight up told him "I DON'T BELIEVE IN CAPS." he looked at me like i was an idiot then i went on explaining how i've read numerous articles that caps aren't the best way to overcome dimming lights and that caps will not give u better bass response. i explained the Big three to him then he said "well what if u don't have 0 gauge to work with?" i wanted to answer, "well then your cheap *** needs to get on weldingsupply.com and get some instead of spening 5 times as much on a cap.. dumbass!" but instead i said what he wanted to hear.. "well then i guess a cap would suffice" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif dude, i feel like socking him right now, not just because they haven't called me back, but because that guy was acting like he was a hot shot car audiophile when he obviously wasn't.. right before quizzing me he said "sorry if im a little hard, car audio is my passion".. and i said "well then we share the same passion" while i was thinking "i bet you're a typical BB installer who thinks he knows more than me... boy, do you have no idea how much knowledge i have over you try me you mother****er:) " ****.. i can't stop wonderring if that dumb sh!t had something to say to the people who decide whether to hire me or not.. i wouldnt be surprised if he said "he doesn't know car audio, if he did he would know that caps are a must in a system..." stupid BB workers...:furious:anyway enough with the rant. its been two weeks and they haven't called.. should i call them?
you are young and dumb.

well it goes both ways then doesn't it...i wouldn't want to buy from your store simply because i know youre more about youre sales than you are customer service.. you're biased to make a sale more than you are biased to actually help me. i'd rather go with the company who looks out for their customer's best interest. i understand that this is best buy and they're ***** are stuck by corporate penises but i like to innovate regardless of where im at. so even if im working for best buy, im not gonna say "yea man you should by a cap, you'll get better results than spending less on a more simpler part that will actually do the same because then you'll also have a big-battery-looking thing in your trunk that people will say 'ahhh' to when they see it." laff. and anyone who laughs at me after i explain how the big three is a much more wiser choice than going with a cap is not the one who has the last laugh. laff. this is car audio im not tlaking about and not fixing TVs or the like. i dont believe in caps....

You are dumb.

Best buy can't be doing "the big 3" and it would end up costing the customer and Best Buy more money to run a "Big 3"

the guy didnt ask your opinion he asked you if you kno how to install one.. because they sell them..

If you don't care about making a profit, then do installs for free - if it's not about making money.

I agree with your point about being biased more towards making the sale, but that's how these places operate. If you don't like that, you should have known that going into the interview...or not even bothered with it in the first place.

Don't think capacitors have a place in car audio? Open up your amplifiers and tell me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif My point was that without clarification, it's a stupid statement.

no. if you read correctly i wonder if the head of the install guy had something to say about me..
My post still applies. Here let me help you out:

I wouldn't even really want to be associated with you after reading this, much less HIRE you.

Sounds like a major case of superiority complex just because the guy works for Best Buy. When, he has a job... and you don't?

when did i ever say i didn't explain how to install a cap? and im dumb because im right about the big three being just as efficient as a cap? or am i dumb because i gave him my opinion? whats wrong with speaking my mind? oh im sorry thats something you dont do.. i forgot, you dont give opinions cuz ur mind is too feeble to have any..
