I just want to know which is the better buy? Thanks!

Neither. Both amps underpower the subs and definitely not the first setup as I will speak from experience... I had that setup as my first setup and lets just say I basically sold it as soon as I could to upgrade....sold it for the same amount I paid to someone who knows nothing of audio lol, so it wasn't too bad of a deal.

Yeah these are package deals on the internet... but thanks for the advice! Right now i have about 250 bucks to work with and i really just want some better bass. Nothing that is going to beat down the block but enough to thump ya know? Any suggestions would be great!

I'd save up some more cash if I were you. Pretty much anything you get with that amount of money you will end up unhappy with.

Here's a decent budget for you:

$150 for amp:

something like this http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=455993

$150 for sub:

something like this http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=22

$50 for a decent amp wiring kit

$50 for box materials (build your own, we can help you with the design)

You'll probably be able to do it a bit cheaper, but that's a decent range to look at.

Look around on the classifieds for ~750-1kw rms amp and get something like an AQ SD2.5.

It might not thump but it'll slap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

no... ignore all ratings on the amps youll be dealing with.. if an amp says '2000 watts' on it you can assume it may push 1000watts if its lucky but in most scenarios itll be giving you about 400-600 RMS.. dont buy anything for $50, it just means somethings definitely ****ed up.. I spent a hair over $300 on my setup (subs+box+amp) and its pretty decent, abut hte subs are 'crap' that youve never heard of.. no offense here, but youre in high school which means you will buy whatever has lots of shiny, blinking lights or what someone you think is "cool" tells you to get so to save everyone the trouble and time... /thread

seriously though dont take offense to what i say its just how it is, not anything personal.. before you make a financial investment in a setup, Or ANYTHING for that matter, take some time to research what it is you want and understand what products are out there and the specifics of you are interested in, like in this case, look up the model of the '350 watt' pioneer amp.. also learn the terminology used, especially the difference between max and RMS wattage.. to really find something youll be satisfied with, you must first understand what it is youre dealing with and what you actually want.. otherwise you are just wasting your parents money to try to impress your friends when you should be wasting your parents' money impressing the females instead..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

but if you really want to get something youll like, just put in some long hours reading and understanding everything, itll make a world of difference
