Best buy 10" sub and amp ??????

Hello guys,

I need to purchase a sub and amp for my son and really have no idea what I am doing. The system will be going in a 2001 F150 extended cab. He does not want to shake the earth just add a little bass to his factory system,...the way he put it was "I need a little bump but would like to be able to turn it up and impress".

I need this to be cheap,...I already blew our Christmas budget on wheels and tires and lift kit for his truck so if I can't get a couple or even one nice 10" and a box and amp for less than $200 he will not get the system,..wifes and moms never understand spending "all that money on a perfectly fine truck", LOL!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

d u wana order on line, and around here we let people know its best to build your on box but a prefab sealed box should work in your case.

From my limited research it seems staying away from box stores and local electronic boutiques is best. Would it be better to buy two $40 10" subs or one $80?

more cone area u would need to find out the space u have to work with. mayb 1 ported or 2 sealed ,im not in 2 10inch subs mayb newer RE ? some say there crap some say good budget subs

Does the truck still have the factory radio? Your son is gonna be like father, I am disappoint if you're only going to spend $200 on a sub, box and amp.

"Turn it up and impress" cost monies, a prefab box that holds two 10 or 12s and fits under the rear bench seat(so it's out of the way) is around $120~150 alone. You're looking at spending at least $450 for a decent box, 4 gauge wiring kit and subs. Add about $150 more if the truck still has the stock headunit(wiring harness, dash kit & the headunit), I do remember the stock door speakers in those F-150s are not that great either so you'll want to replace them too.

yea 200.00 will b hard to work with. mayb u can get a kicker cvr package deal or a mtx deal your only issue will the box fit cuz those deales come with one 12 or 10 or even a 8 somtimes with a amp and u would have to now worry about the box fiting . just get a ps3

at $200 your not looking at much

you might find a sub and amp for $200 but you will need a box and wires

$500 would be much better

$200 go to a flea market ...for real

Alright guys,...I am ONLY looking for a sub and amp! I do not want a box, wiring, or anything else. I would rather spend all of my $200 budget on the sub and amp and we can deal with the other stuff later.

This one is with a 12" sub. There are 10" sub versions that are slightly cheaper. All you need to buy in addition is a 8 gauge amp kit and you are bumping...
