I say go for Polk db as well. That is what I ran in my old car in the rear (6x9s). And amped they were a whole other beast, if your dad ever decides to amp them

What do you guys think about:

JBL P953 - 110w rms

JBL P652 - 75w rms

My audio guy can't get Polk products and said that Pioneer doesn't offer warranty UNLESS its through Mobil 1, Car Toys, Best Buy, etc. He said that if I'm not putting an amp to them, I run the risk of underpowering them, which will caused distortion, and ruin them.

He can get them for me if I want, but he really suggests the JBL. They will sound good without or with an amp.
