What are the best amps at 1000 watts and up?

I would say US amps are on the list.. i havent tried Us amps but based on their construction inside they seem durable. I own a rockford 700's amp and based on what im using i think this amp kicks ***. But the rockford power amps are great too they also provied low distortion ratings but hey give me an opinion.. what are the top of the line amps in history that i can buy in the future for a kick in the butt system im talking 1000 watts and up.

us amps are real solid. they excell in reactive load tests as far as real world output. linear power, lunar, brax ,helix, arc, kicker sx, rf type rf, diamond, genesis,audison, some of the soundstreams, celestria, monolithic, zapco,jl, some pg, boston acoustics,xtant and mb quart are all other note worthy amps each having their strong points. does it mean they are really better than a nine.1 or a hifonics amp? i say its dependant more on how its used weither or not you can say its better or not

US Amps was bought out.....so we'll see if anything changes.

I've heard that LP is/has closed their doors aswell.........that was stated by Jimmy @ TIPS

to me power is power. i guess when i look at an amp, i try to see if it really produces the power it claims it does. also when determing "the best" amp durability and build quality would have to be a factor. my tantrum puts out atleast 1200-1400 watts rms, and has never failed on me, so is one of those amps listed as the best gonna really do any better then my tantrum?

I don't remember.....IIRC it was an individual or something; but it wasn't like RF or PA bought them. It's been on a few different forums, like ECA for sure and CS I believe (maybe it was TP, I don't remember...LOL)
