Best Amp for these speakers?

Just bought a new pair of Infinity Kappas 6.1s to build my new system around in my new 17' Camry. Later I will likely add a sub and mono amp, but for now I just need an amp for these 6.1s. Here are the numbers:

Power Handling

RMS100W

Peak400W

Impedance

4 Ohms

Audio Specifications

Frequency Response (±3dB)

75Hz - 23kHz

Sensitivity

90dB

I'm looking to spend up to $250 on a decent amp, might as well give em' clean power since they are higher end (I want clarity more than power). I don't have any plans for rear speaker replacements at this point, and the new head unit I am after does 50w so I can probably get away kwith only amping the 6.1s.

I have the perfect 600's (Newer version of your 6.1's) and I have them on a Orion XTR1000.4 and they sound EXCELLENT on them. Online Car Stereo has that amp for $209 shipped.

FYI Orion XTR1000.4 is 165x4 @ 4ohm Class A/B and is Korean made. Zapco is 4x65 and Chinese made.... Trust me you want the higher wattage on those Perfects...

just fyi u can bridge that 4 channel zapco to set of speakers lots do it that way.. another option ppi 600.2 (190x2) $117 (or so) at 4 ohm stereo it very clean and super strong thats y these guys use them (i have the mono sub version.. many guys here with huge systems have then 1 guy has 4, others have the ppi 900.4., we just kinda went through this with another guy (he did buy the zapco and is gonna bridge it) https://www.amazon.com/Precision-Power-P600-2-2-Channel-Amplifier/dp/B005KU7KEE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1498408095&sr=1-1&keywords=precision+power+600.2

I have the Polk version of the PPI 900.4 the Polk PAD40004 on my boat and I will agree it's a good amp (Not as nice as the orion though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

maybe i'll differ to your experience but some if the orion have tested kinda dirty (at least at 1 ohm but we ain't talking about that) and it's almost $100 more $.. i looked hard at that 1500 says it does about same power as mine tested at 2 ohm but didn't see any 1500 test.. does the 1500 have just on /off 25hz ss filter?

I am not sure I am following you here... Are you talking about the Orion 1000.4 like I am or my 1500.1D? Too my knowledge no one has dyno tested a XTR1000.4 and it's not 1ohm stable, I did see a 4 channel HCCA tested on PASMAG and it was pretty **** positive. If we are comparing the ZAPCO ST4XSQ. the price difference is $20 not $100.. And you have 2 channels free for rear fill or a 500+ Watts bridged Sub Channel (My birth sheet on the 1000.4 is 278WX4 at 2ohm). It's not dirty power either, it sounds better than my Polk (Same as a 900.4PPI) and the DD D5.1000 amp it replaced in my truck, and very comparable to my old Aura MR4150Q (Which was one hell of an SQ amp back in the day).

There isnt an Amp dyno of the 1500.1D on the net, but my birth sheet says 1642 at 1ohm at 12.6V at 1%THD. Its rated at 975 @ 2ohm at 12..6V 1%THD... I'm willing to bet money it will perform better than the p1000 on amp dyno at any ohm load. I also have an Orion XTR1000.1D which has a birth sheet that states 1095@1ohm 12.6V, this is more comparable to your P1000. This isn't a knock at all on the P1000, or 900.4. I think those boards are **** good, which is why I have one in my boat and I have no problem recommending any of those amps that use that board (NVX, Soundstream, PPI, Polk, Hertz etc..).

Have you thought about getting an Infinity amp? They make Kappa amps that should be the match to your speakers.
K4's are nice amps and have a built in DSP. You might be able to find that in the $250 range. My company has a deal with Harman (They make our audio systems for our cars) and they offer those to us at $247 shipped, so I am sure someone out there has them for that.

I meant 1500 does it have adjustable ss filter., and the xtr 1k would not do as much at 2 ohm as ppi 1k

I'm still considering getting a pair of these. One for each side bridged.

2400w x 4 peak and 120w rms x 4. That has to be world record dynamic right there 🤣.

So I don't know what i'm doing but I really like the used H-KO but when i look at the specs it looks like it could overpower the sub if I'm...

Oh come on! Why'd you have to go and tell me the price? Now I'ma start eyeballing them.

Recoil 2500.1 $179 2500 x 1 @ 1 ohm. Make sure subs are the dual 4 ohm version. If you don't want that much power, get the Recoil red1200.1 for 1...

Have an Xli 2500 as a sub amp in the music room, overkill for sure, never overheats, never skips a beat.
