Kick drum is like what... 50hz? You should be able to get pretty flat up to 70hz and still play the lows with a good bit of authority without building a box for the low lows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Wouldn't be a true ground pounder, but I've heard a lot of stuff get way loud way low and still play up to 70hz or so.Yes, but there's no point in sacrificing your upper end for rock music to get a better lower end if you dont listen to music that plays that low. Since he wants the double bass, a box tuned a bit higher would be better suited for him than a box that is tuned lower.
For me, I love the lows. I don't care for anything over 45 hz really so I don't need a box that can play that high, so I'd rather sacrifice that higher end to have a better lower end.
