Best 8" Sub for SQ

Hey all, was looking into a pair of small 8" Subs for an SQ set up. Had Infinity 10.1Ds in my older truck off a JBL bp1200.1 amp. Look to keep the amp but get other subs as I dont have enough room for 10's. I've heard a lot about SS Rl-i8s, I've seen what it can do in terms of SPL but I could really care less about loudness of it, I'd like a clean hit instead. If anyone knows any good 8's to look at that dont have a 7 inch mounting depth (w7) for an SQ set up that would help a lot. Thanks!

I think the AA assassin 8" sub is the bast SQ sub..I think

you've got several GREAT options

The AA assassin is a good one, you should also consider the Soundsplinter RL-i 8.

CDT has a carbon fiber 8 that sounds great.

For SQ I would definately look into ID, although my assassin 8s were not lacking in the SQ department. You cant beat it at 50 bucks a pop...

Forgot about those...since you dont care about loudness...that would be your best bet...

the cmp 8 can get very loud if you give it 500w and not 200w.

depending on your taste in sound, DD1008 and treo ssi8 are also great subs.

i think the 1008 has much better impact than any of the other 8's, but the excursion capability of the cmp8 lets it shine on the low notes under more power.

Went on the ID website and saw the the IDQs are not available in 8" sizes...they do have the iD8s. Has anyone heard these in comparison the older IDQs, and how they stack against the RL-I8s? Been out of the car audio scene for a while so Im playing catchup. RL-I8 and the IDQs seem to be the most popular, but if there are others that will compete with these then I'd like to hear. Thanks again.
