best 8" sub for small enclosure

I am planning the design of a sub enclosure for my truck - want good sound quality. I have very little room but can design an enclosure that is about 0.3 cubic feet. The depth of the enclosure is a problem also - need a speaker with a mounting depth of 4" or less - which eliminates a lot of speakers. I am considering the following:

Audiobahn 831

Pyramid PW855

Pyle PLG8

Rockford P18

I have done the calculations listed on carstereo.com on all for the enclosure size and these seem to be the best fit for small encclosures - any recommendations?

Stay away from the Pyramid and the Pyle woofers, they dont have any decent quality to their construction and their output will be dismal.

Good information. I did look at Kicker and the depth is borderline - the comp 8 is 4" mounting depth (the VR is 5+ inches) - this is borderline. I could not find any parameters on the planet audio speakers so no idea if they are good small enclosure speakers. I will scratch the pyramid and pyle from the list.

Thanks Shellshocked
