I want to get 2 10 w7s. i know there both dual 3 ohms but i was wondering how to wire em to get a descent ohm load. question is what amp could work. would an mtx 801d work? if it was running at 3 ohms im geussin that it would be puttin out 600 watts (300 to each) or do i need to get a 1 ohm stable amp?

If you're going to do that route - why not buy a 1501 D? there's a guy in classifieds that has modded 1501d's that will push plenty of power to the subs, i think he's asking like 235+ shipping on them...?

Sounds like the wrong sub for your application, subs with better wiring options and lower pricetags are available.

Read up on series and parrellel wiring, you can actually run them both at a 3ohm load to the amp.

At 3ohms the subs will get roughly their rated power from the MTX1501D amp.

Get an amp that does 1000 watts at 1.5 ohms give or take and you will be fine. Build a great box!!!!!!!

3ohm stereo(3ohm svc EACH), but 1.5ohm paralell. 6ohm series.

if i ran them off the 1501d how would my electrical handle it? my alt is 105 amp in a 96 grand am.
