Alright, my neighbor is wanting to run all 6x9's in a Mustang and wants to get 2 nice sets, but also not spend WAY TOO MUCH $.

last time he bought a pr of Kicker 6x9's and to me, they ****** for the price.

He likes RF speakers, and was wondering about the RF power series 6x9's

Are these ne good?

What about MB Quart?

Anyone here have a good used set?

He likes to hear the symbols in his music. He listens to mainly Rock/country.

I have the RF Power Series 6.5's in my truck and he likes those, but............. MB Quart is nice too.

thanks. I'll have him check them out.

The kickers he bought for his truck, just really disappointed me. He likes them, but for the $, they should have kicked A55! My RF power series 4" speakers are louder.

I have a very rare set of DD componet 6x9's in my Tacoma...that set is unbeleivable in the SQ and the mid bass they put out...almost like mini subs in the doors....I hate DD no longer makes these //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Few questions:

  1. What year Mustang is this?
  2. Hardtop or 'vert?
  3. Does your neighbor have an aftermarket HU already? If so, go talk to him and ask the following:
    • What would his total budget be for:
      front 6.5" components
    • a small sub or two (8" or smaller)
    • an amplifier
    • wiring
    • sub box materials

It would guarantee music reproduction quality well beyond what a couple sets of 6x9's could do.

Keep in mind I'm not talking crazy budget here.... even if he could only afford, say, $400-700, I'm sure we can come up with one heck of a decent solution.
