best 6.5 comps for Rock music

the new image dynamics is your best bet. think about it this way... would you rather have the lower line of a high dollar comp or the top of the line of a mid-high level comp? with rainbow you don't want anything lower than the geraniums. modles less than just listed is a waste. your just buying the name.
Wrong, but whatever.

so your the jackass that would buy a BMW 330i rather than a fully loaded NISSAN MAXIMA? why get the BMW 330i, when the maxima has got more power, handles better, and cost less. because you wanna look cool in a beamer. the new id's are 10 times better than the Rainbow SLC 265 Kicks.... period!!!

Exactly which "lower line" rainbows are you referring to?

Sorry bud, but you really should try to compare apples to apples. The SLC 265 kicks go for 280 shipped. The Image Dynamics XS-65 go for 479.99 plus shipping. What you should be comparing to them is the Germaniums cs265.25, which go for around 450.00 shipped. Im not going to go into comparisons, mostly because it will seem biased coming from me, but compare the Germs to your ID set and settle on that.

first, sometimes price doesn't make them better. to me the cdt hd's sound better than the cdt es 620's. i owned both- i thought the es620's would sound better just because they cost more. wrong...

anyways, the dude said he had a 300-600 price range. i gave my recommendation on price range, and choice of music. everybody else recommended the slc 265's. why they did? i have no idea. if you call id and tell them your interested in their products, their gonna ask you one question. "what kind of music do you listen to". if you say " i listen to nothing but rap"- id will say look elsewhere. they make quality equipment for quality music. their subs are musical and their components totally rule for instrumental music.

You might want to check the thread again, as here's my count:

Latina33 - CMX 265, CMX 265 Kick

you - ID XS

me - CMX 265 Kick

Tbayz1 - CMX 265 Kick

CrazetCat - ID Chameleon

Gary S - CMX, CMX Kicks, V-MAX65, 356cs, ID, CM

Hmmmm, NOT ONE MENTION of the SLC 265.

The Powerline CMX is a higher line than the SLC and the Germanium, according to the product hierarchy at Rainbow's website.

Now the ID's at almost $500 shipped, although enticing, would be hard pressed to match the value of the CMX 265 Kick's at $330 shipped. And possibly hard pressed to match the performance, especially with power in the neighborhood of a clean 2x200w rms being fed to them.
