Best 5.25" speakers?

What are the best 5.25" speakers(I need 4 of them) that will sound the best just being powered off of a pioneer headunit? I'm also trying to get away without having to run a sub as space is limited and in a jeep these things can be stolen easily. I just need some really well rounded speakers that can still have decent bass. I was looking at Infinity Kappa 52.7i but am not set on anything.

Not alot of stores around here have many 5.25" speakers out to hear so I need to go by owners opinions.

If you can't run subs and want good bass, go with components off of a 4 ch amp

Not doing components or an amp. Components would be wasted in a Jeep.

With the top down the amp could easily be stolen. And if it rains and I have that amp under a seat, well, it could get wet if it starts to puddle. Don't want to risk it. And I need all the space I can get inside so any subs taking up space won't work.

Can't fit 6.5" in my soundbar. I can get an adapter to fit 5.25" in the factory dash locations replacing the 4"x6" speakers but that's about it.

Just trying to get the best I can with what I have to work with. No amps or subs taking up space or can easily be stolen. It's for a jeep

if you get an amp with a small footprint for cheap, you could possibly hide it inside the dash somewhere and the gains would be noticeable..most headunits do about 50watts per speaker but i cant help you on what type of speakers to get.

Actually I don't know of any headunits that will put out more than about 22 watts RMS per speaker.

Almani pcs-54c and a tiny 4-channel amp with built-in crossovers behind the dash.

For the rear speakers, ditch the Almani crossover and tweets and run just the 5 inch mids for subs off one half of the amp, front speakers high-passed from the other two channels. You would have amazing clarity for the price. Should only cost around $150

And that's at full tilt with around 5% THD no less.

Probably more like 12 watts RMS per channel compared to a decent outboard amplifier. Unlike home audio, there are no laws for car stereo product wattage ratings... this means they can and often do lie... we have all seen the flea market radio with 100 watts X 4 on the box.

The cheapest outboard amp which is about the size of two packs of cigarettes will have more power.

no one seems to have offered a single answer to his original question. It may not be the optimal setup, but he obviously doesn't have many choices, or the desire to do a lot of modification. The reason why is because we are exploring all possibilities in order for the OP to get the most out of this sound system. If the possibility of fitting 6.5's is there, then that's what we're going to encourage. Since the OP has answer no, it's not possible to fit 6.5's, the thread is now continuing on course.... I believe Gary S posted a great recommendation that is both budget conscious and fits the OP's original request.
