well unfortunately i do not have any first hand experience with the aura drivers because of their cost.

but i would not compare this with a btl.

two completely different drivers.

the btl is made to be loud and sound ok while doing it.

the aura is made to sound like ear ***, but just happens to get loud since it can move so much air.

if you goal is spl then go for the btl no doubt, it will get louder given plenty of power.

but if you want them to sound **** good, and still get pretty loud. then go for the aura(s)

that is of course, if money is no object...

Never heard of Aura.. youve experienced first hand? I was bout to ordre an 18 inch BTL untill you said something... keep me convinced!

Wait you wanted SPL right? I'm pretty sure the Aura is not an SPL sub. By pretty sure I mean 100% sure. Not that I have heard it of course.

Wow.. haha no need for all that! But like I siad.. i want the BEST set-up.. not the most expensive! i know memphis is nice.. i mean, i heard the MTX jackhammer on two Memphis amps and all... but there is a lot better subs that ones with 3 baskets!!! lol

Ask about Fi amplifiers, the problem is they get HOT!

They worked great with Fi 12" BLT's

You did mention SQ, though. Jackhammer is certainly farfetched from that aspect.

As far as box goes, try a thread in the enclosure section. A few members here will hook you up with a real nice one. If you're lucky you might get the custom Finclosure.

Seriously, the enclosure section has some great box builders.

well i would have to know what i am trying to build.

you need to decide what sub you want.

and then you would have to decide what box you want.

but you should know, any decent box for an 18" sub will be heavy... and the box itself will not be very cheap.

so you are looking at a decent chunk of money just for a box if you cant find someone locally.
