I heard the BXi 2006 series were actually pretty good, and were really close to rated power. so rated at 1600, should do at least 1500

i see you point, but from what my friends tell me, they get pretty hot and are really noisy....

May as well get used if you want top quality. Flakko (who is a USamps dealer) has a refurb for sale with a small ding in it for $300 something. MD2 is an AWSOME amp.

More is always better, a lil headroom never hurt anyone. Why not get more power for the same price? Actually, it can be had for $100 less than his limit, amazing.
