its from 97-96 and they fixxed it once we just dont run it that way anymore its fine amp though great sq sub amp just wouldnt recomend them for "bangin"

application i would say. on this board seems to be younger guys on carsound.com forums there are more sq/older guys. a local shop here does great with xtant but it wont do for the same money what the jbl 1200 will.

... sorry, didn't mention the application... figured thats what we're talkin bout. True the JBL 1200 gives more bang for the buck, but there are more of them produced thus makin them more affordable. Go on ebay and they are everywhere. I would hope that the Xtant is made w/ higher quality parts as well, which def. helps the price along. Besides that, do ya think it has better SQ than the Xtant... I don't have too much experience w/ the JBL power series amps, but I would imagine that it wouldn't. Thats right... we're talkin bout spl now, not sq:banghead: .

measurement wise id say the xtant blows it away in sq im sure too our ears its prolly just a smidgen better if u bypass the onboard xovers..usem the xtant hands down

yeah thats what I figured... I love the expandable design w/ the xtant. Def. somethin unique and adds for great performance.
