Best 10" sub for under $100?

Trust me, as an owner of IA 187s, I can personally get double that out of mine. I once disconnected (not intentional) a speaker line to one of them in a box with two and shared airspace. I was like "****, how am I getting 40mm out of that one?... Oh shit!! Turn it off! Turn it off!"

And I paid right around $100 for mine. About $2.50 more to be exact. Worth every penny.

Oh, I should mention that specific sub showed no signs of wear after that incident. Neither did the other sub which was the only thing wired to an Orion 1200D being burped at 20hz at the same time. =) I can't make any guarantees you'll get the same results, but I can tell you with confidence they have the greatest build quality of every sub mentioned.

Well... Still. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 13.2 linear, one-way would be decent. But peak-to-peak?

Where did you buy it? Direct from IA?

Ok...
I'd have to hear more about Elemental Designs to consider them.

My best friend has a pair of Infinity Perfect 12.1's, so they're out of the question.

The pioneer is definitely not in my price range...

The 187 Series from IA looks very interesting...

I'd say right now the sub from IA is winning.

EDIT: I just looked at the 187 a little closer, and noticed 2 things.

For one, the msrp on IA's site is $130. Not under $100...

Secondly, the xmax is 13.2 mm peak-to-peak. That's not good... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
The Xmax Is VERY underrated!

I got mine direct from IA. That was shipped price. In fact it was less than that, but I threw in $5 for Nick because he was nice enough to send them before they went to a showing.

And for everyone whining about the Xmax of it, I'll see if I can make an excursion vid tomorrow showing what they can do. I looked on RoE, there's the on IA made, and one by "Millenia". The one by Millenia is REALLY annoying and clipped to hell, so I want to see if I can do better.

Also, you guys have no idea how underrated that sub is. There's a reason 187 and former 187 owners will speak up for their sub.

hmmm, built like tanks... Now they're REALLY on the top of my list! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Here's a question though. The only pair of 10's I've ever heard were a pair of p2's from RF that a friend has. How do they compare to those? SPL and SQ wise...

dont let the xmax fool you. those subs get LOUD and sound very good will doing it. xmax is only a number, doesnt make/break a sub.

100.00 for these 2 300w 10"subs

How about the Auras? The 10s have almost as much vas as an Adire Maelstrom 12. In fact, according to WinISD, they'll outperform both Maelstrom 12s and Tumult 12s in SPL with 300 watts in 1 cube sealed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

BTW, what's the install again? Sealed, vented, what car?...

Sealed, 1 ft^3 per sub, '90 single cab F-150.

What's an Aura? I was leaning towards the 187's.
