Best 10" Sub For Overall Sound Quality

OK, I know that I will probably be shot for opening up such an open question. What is the best overall performing sub in a 10" size to can provide a good combination between SQ and SPL. Below are a few brands that I know of. Please provide your specifi model preference when providing your feedback. I am looking at getting two and putting 300rms into each. Price constrain is $300-$500 for each sub.

I had really good results with a pair of Dayton audio HO 10s. A pair would cost 250 from parts express. Put them in .7 cubes each ported tuned to 30hz. Output was surprising for a pair of 10s on 600 watts and some of the best speakers I've ever heard.

audioholic is right but a couple good SQ/SPL drivers that will take some juice are the RE SE, mach 5 IXL, FI Q, theres too many to name

I have 2 IDQ V3 10s sealed as a temp system and they sound sick.

The list is very large for quality drivers, you just need to pick one that best fits your amp power and budget. You really can't go wrong with the better brands.

I concur, there are so many combinations that you can throw at a subject like this. At least you did list how much power you were planning to throw at it, obviously you wouldn't have much use for an excellent SQ driver like the Fi Q because it demands soo much power.
