best 10" sub choice?

i've decided to go with 2 subs (instead of one) probably in a dual pre-fab box in the trunk facing the trunk.

i have apline type S 6.5" speakers all round and I need something to compliment them well. im on a budget what do you think is the best choice for SQL:

Alpine Type S's $140 for both, 200 RMS each , 600 peak each 10"

Alpine Type R's $200 for both, 300 RMSeach , 1000peak each 10"

Fosgate HE2's $180 for both, 400 RMS each, 800 Peak each 10"

Kicker solo L5 $200 for both, 450 RMS each, 900 peak each 10"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kicker solo L7 $240 for both, 450 RMS each, 900 peak each, 8"

Infinity Kappa Perfect $240 for both, 500 RMS each, 1400 peak, 12"

remember SQL and budget.

The perfects are not 500 rms a peice, older models are 350, and new ones are 400, and they do not like more than that. They will also not give you the SPL that you are looking for. The fosgates will do more SPL than SQ. I am not a fan of the L5's or L7's, and think that they both sound like poop unless they are in ungodly huge ported enclosures. Heh, well i guess that leaves the Type-r's, i like them, but if i may i have a few more recomendations.

Elemental Designs K 10"

Though i have never heard these, i have heard they are very good for the money.

Put any of those subs in about a 3 cube box ported around 32hz, and you will be very happy.

Oh and do not buy a prefab box. http://www.gnomeaudio.com the guy is a real great guy, he has helped me a ton, and he builds killer boxes. If you want to build it yourself sometimes he is willing to make you very good and accurate plans for roughly 10 bucks.

For an Amp this would be an excellent choice

With this amp, and the CM3's, the K's, or the Kx's, in a ported box, i promise you will get quite loud, and sound very good in the process for the money. Though for everything it would put you at or around the 500 mark, it would probably save you money in the long run. I know i bought crap when i first started out (still don't have that good of stuff) and i've spent more upgrading stuff than you can imagine. It is a diesease, and you get addicted.

If you are going to get the type-r's you could go with this amp
