Benefits/problems with oversized sealed box?

The only disadvantage is when you go way over the ideal size. Then the speaker begins to behave as though it isn't in an enclosure at all aka infinite baffle. If the speaker isn't made to handle this, then it'll probably bottom out and reach its mechanical limits quite quickly.

A larger sealed box will play lower than a smaller sealed box but it will also reduce power handling at the same time.

With your SE's I would go much bigger than .75ft^3 each unless you port them.

yes, we put an old school solo baric c series in an overly large sealed box running just 400w to it, and we blew it on the ride home //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif haha
