bench seat lift - Ext Cab

Hi guys, I am driving a 2004 GMC Sierra Ext Cab. I am planning to install a TC 10 OEM sub under the rear bench seat, but I dont think I can accomodate the 7.5" mounting depth. The best solution for my install I think would be to lift the seat. I want to maintain the folding functionality of the bench as well.

I keep finding references to lifting the seat, but I can't find any plans or how-to articles. If anybody has any experience with this or could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
