box position delema

So normally i would just face back and end the story but with this build i ended up with less space then originally planned to. My problem lies within these pictures....

#1 the way i built it for... level with rear seat below the head rests...

this is how much room i have between the box and hatch with it this way.

#2 Gives me more space and is level with the top of the head rests...it doesnt block my rear view much at all and gives me space for a couple bags...

i am bolting this box into the jeep so i would like to get it right the first time. anyone with experiance close to this chime in please with how you think i should do it? im thinking standing it up tall and leaving some room with the subs and port firing upwards... I'm going for spl... and the box is not finished yet so refrain from the ugly coments cause i know its not pretty yet... thanks!

id face it back. with an 18 in my old cherokee it was loudest with box as close to the back as it would slide, probably about 3" away

one vote for back and i was thinking up so hmmm now you got me thinkin since you have experience with a cherokee

mine was an older one though, an 88. i tried sub and port and and sub and port up, and back was noticably louder
