Shredded 2 belts in 3 days due to slippage... a huge draw at low rpms is a no-no..basically locked up both alt's pulleys trying to get enough juice out of them for the system and there wasnt enough friction to spin them up to speed so the belt slightly sticks for a second and then gives way and starts flying around the pulleys normally except the two alt's pulleys arent really moving...tons a friction, belt shreds...have to stop a bunch to let the car cool off getting home (without the belt, no coolant pumping if you didnt get it)...fun fun fun fun f!ck...but if you just have a single alternator you should be just fine.

And if you infact do have bad slipping just look around locally for custom car guys they could weld you up a mounting setup for an idler pulley to go near your alt to get better belt wrap on it...but I'd just try a slightly shorter belt first.

And if youre looking for a belt with grip I'd get the dayco one with the metallic crud on the ribs...better grip than any ive seen
i see.

do u think the flickering lights with the shaking is a slipping belt? I dont know if i could get a smaller belt. dont think it would fit. it was hell just to get the stock one back on.

btw the alt got so hot after 15 sec of the engin on that it was smoking. ****ing hot as hell.

Yikes, I would think that's an issue with the alternator...doesnt sound too great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I wouldnt call that belt slip

i did put it to a few test after it overheated to see if it still worked. over 4k rms but i keept geting flooting voltage problems with just the car on, nothing elce no system @ idle and 2k rpms it whent from 13.0v-15.3v

i had it set to 15.3v

* hitting alternator with a mallet while screaming "WORK, D@MNIT!!!" *
