I have tipped quite well when I have the money, thank you very much. My mom worked for years waiting tables at Red Lobster, so I have an idea about what they go through and have respect for them.just because you're a bad tipper doesn't mean everyone is.
i used to work at a resturaunt out in Novi, which is one of the more upscale suburbs of detroit, and i pulled 250 a night as a serve. it wasn't even a super nice resturaunt, it just had a lot of business clientelle(sp?)
if he was working at a halfway decent resturaunt, in a nice area, and he provided good service, 300-400 doesn't sound unreasonable to me at all.
but that's because i've worked at resturaunts in the past so i understand the field somewhat. and i use the term field loosely.
